Japan Trip Planning Service

So you are finally planning that Japan trip you have been dreaming about forever.

You have pinned Tokyo cafes, saved Kyoto photos, and maybe opened 37 tabs trying to figure out which area to stay in.

Let’s be honest; planning Japan can feel like solving a puzzle in another language.

Between train routes, hotel areas, and “top 10” lists that all say different things, it is easy to go from excited to overwhelmed real fast.

And that is where I come in 😉

💁‍♀️ Why I Started This Service

Travel planning has always been in my blood.

My parents run a travel business in Malaysia, and over the years I have helped them co-lead overseas tours, most recently to Xi’an, China📍

The biggest flex I had during this tour was being the youngest one in the group😆

Seeing how much difference a well-planned route makes for travellers taught me one thing: the flow of a trip can either make your day or break it.

Outside of that, I have been the unofficial planner friend for over a decade, building itineraries across Asia — Taipei, Bangkok, Siem Reap, Bali, Hanoi, you name it 🤓

I love creating trips that balance the big must-sees with the kind of hidden gems that make you feel like you discovered something special!

Then came Japan.

Even with all that experience, I still made a few rookie mistakes 😅

I stayed too far, wasted time zigzagging around Kyoto, and thought “oh, that temple’s nearby.”

IT. WAS. NOT.

Japan taught me that even the best planners can get humbled by Google Maps 🤣

Another rookie mistake? Thinking the Fushimi Inari Shrine hike would be a chill walk. Fast forward to me slipping, falling, and nursing a bruised knee 🥲

And that trip changed everything.

I realised how confusing Japan can be for first-timers, and I wanted to make it easier; to plan smarter, travel smoother, and still have fun along the way.

That is why I started this service!

I plan based on you — your pace, your vibe, your budget — and I always mix must-visit icons with hidden gems so your trip feels uniquely yours.

No cookie-cutter itineraries, no copy-paste days, just a plan that actually makes sense and gets you excited to go 🤩

💬 What Travellers Are Saying

Even before launching this service, I was always the go-to planner among my family and friends; the one who somehow found the right balance between adventure, comfort, and flow.

Here are a few words from people who have actually travelled with me 😉:

“Travelling with Sam is never boring. We have been to Hong Kong, Hanoi, Sapa, and Bali together, and she always runs the show. I did not even know Sapa was a place until she brought it up, and somehow we ended up on an overnight train from Hanoi, then in a van from Lao Cai, heading straight into the mountains. Trekking through the paddy fields there is still one of my favourite travel memories. Sam plans everything so well that even the complicated bits turn out smooth. You can tell she knows what she is doing.”

Julia, my sister and lifelong travel buddy

Travelling with Sam is never just another trip — it’s an adventure! She planned our Siem Reap and Phnom Penh itinerary, and it was the perfect mix of temples, food, and random fun. We even tried fried worms at a night market because she said, ‘come on, when else will you?’ Classic Sam. We stayed at this cute boutique hotel with a pool, and it was the best spot to chill after a full day of temple hopping around Angkor Wat! She always finds the less touristy spots and somehow convinces us to try new things. Travelling with her feels easy and exciting at the same time!”

Albus, my travel pal since 2010s

“Travelling with Sam on the Xi’an tour was such a joy! Everything was well planned, and she took care of all the little things that made the trip so easy for us. The schedule was perfect because we saw a lot but still had time to relax and enjoy ourselves. She is always smiling, so patient, and very helpful. Even when a few of us walked slower, she never rushed us. We all said the same thing at the end of the trip: if Sam leads another tour, we are signing up again!”
