Japan Trip Planning Service for First-Time Travelers

Plan Your Japan Trip With Ease

Planning your first Japan trip sounds fun… until you actually try to put everything together.

You start saving places in Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka.
Add a few day trips you saw on TikTok.
Maybe even squeeze in Mount Fuji somewhere.

And then everything starts to feel messy.

You start wondering:

  • where to stay so your route actually makes sense
  • what is realistically doable vs way too packed
  • and whether going beyond the Golden Route (Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto) will fit your plan or just make things more complicated

And the more you look into it, the more second guessing kicks in.

This is where most first-time Japan travelers get stuck.

What you actually need is a clear, well-structured plan that fits your route, your pace, and your preference.

That is what I help you do 😉

Why Work With Me

And I know this because I have made these mistakes myself.

I have been planning trips for years, first for my family, then for friends, and I have also helped co-lead overseas trips.

My parents run a travel business in Malaysia, and over the years I have supported them on group tours, including a recent one to Xi’an, China.

But Japan?

Japan humbled me 😅

Even with all that experience, I still made the same mistakes most first-time travellers to Japan make.

I stayed in the wrong area and had to take a 1.5-hour train just to catch a bus to another city.
Tried to fit everything into one day and spent more time checking Google Maps than actually enjoying the places.
Took recommendations from friends who had been to Japan once, and realised too late their “must-do” spots just did not suit how I wanted to travel 😅

And all of it added up.

I wasted time.
Went back and forth more than I should have.
And ended up going to places that did not really match what I actually wanted from the trip.

That was when I realised:

A good Japan trip is not just about how many Instagrammable spots you squeeze in.

It is about:

  • staying in a place that does not waste hours of your day just getting around,
  • giving yourself enough time to actually experience each place,
  • and choosing what you want to do, even if it means feeling FOMO and skipping what everyone else is doing

That is exactly what I focus on now.

I plan your Japan trip based on how you want to travel, so you can enjoy the experience instead of constantly adjusting things along the way.

And if you want to go beyond the usual route, I can help you fit that in realistically without messing up the whole plan 😉

💬 What Other Travelers Are Saying

Before launching this service, I have planned trips across Asia for friends, family, and travelers I have helped along the way.

Here is what they say 😉:

“Travelling with Sam is never boring. We have been to Hong Kong, Hanoi, Sapa, and Bali together, and she always runs the show. I did not even know Sapa was a place until she brought it up, and somehow we ended up on an overnight train from Hanoi, then in a van from Lao Cai, heading straight into the mountains. Trekking through the paddy fields there is still one of my favourite travel memories!”

Julia, my sister and lifelong travel buddy

    Angkor Wat Cambodia

“Sam planned our Siem Reap and Phnom Penh itinerary, and it was the perfect mix of temples, food, and random fun. We even tried fried worms at a night market because she said, ‘come on, when else will you?’ We stayed at this cute boutique hotel with a pool, and it was the best spot to chill after a full day of temple hopping around Angkor Wat! She always finds the less touristy spots and somehow convinces us to try new things.”

Albus, my travel pal since 2010s

    Terracotta Army Xi An China

“Everything was well planned, and Sam took care of all the little things that made the trip so easy for us. We all said the same thing at the end of the trip: if Sam leads another tour, we are signing up again!”

    Auntie Lim, Xi’an tour participant
